Trinity Advanced SL 2 (2025)

The current Giant Trinity Advanced SL is a full reset of Giant’s flagship triathlon and time-trial platform rather than a light update of the previous Trinity. It brings the range in line with the modern expectations for top-tier aero race bikes by moving to disc brakes, adopting Advanced SL-grade composite construction, and reshaping the frame and fork around newer truncated-ellipse aero profiles. Giant’s published claims point to the scale of the redesign: a 558g reduction versus the previous Trinity Advanced Pro frameset and a claimed 5.9-watt aerodynamic gain at 45kph across a broad yaw range.

What most clearly defines this generation, though, is its focus on fit and integrated race functionality. The redesigned front end uses a more adjustable cockpit concept with substantially broader armrest positioning and a revised seatpost offering four offset positions across 51mm of range, making the bike easier to adapt to a wider set of rider positions than the outgoing model. For triathlon use, Giant has also retained and reworked its integrated storage and hydration approach, including a frame-integrated reservoir holding 700 to 850ml depending on size and a larger bento-style storage solution. In the market, that places the Trinity Advanced SL squarely among contemporary superbikes aimed at serious triathletes and TT riders who want a highly integrated package without giving up meaningful fit adjustability.

Fit and geometry

The Trinity Advanced SL’s geometry is built around a committed aero position, but the base numbers are relatively consistent and predictable across the size range. In sizes S through L, the head tube angle is 73 degrees, paired with a 63mm trail figure, while the XS drops to a 72-degree head angle with 69mm of trail. That suggests Giant is aiming to preserve stable steering behavior for smaller riders rather than simply scaling the bike down. Chainstays remain fixed at 405mm across all sizes, and wheelbase grows from 974mm in XS to 1039mm in L, pointing to handling that should feel planted and controlled at speed rather than especially nimble.

Fit-wise, the bike combines fairly long reaches for a TT/tri platform with moderate stack numbers: 397/490mm in XS, 412/513mm in S, 432/532mm in M, and 452/551mm in L. The effective top tube grows from 510mm to 579mm across the range, while the seat tube angle stays at 77 degrees throughout. On paper, that gives the Trinity a consistently forward-biased pedaling position suitable for triathlon and time-trial use, with enough front-center length to support an aggressive cockpit setup. The geometry itself is only part of the story here, though, because the redesigned cockpit and expanded armrest adjustment are central to how riders will actually achieve their position on the bike.
