The geometry reflects a measured modernization of the classic XC hardtail. Giant relaxed the head tube angle slightly and reduced the fork offset, increasing trail to improve high-speed stability and predictability on descents. Simultaneously, the reach grew significantly across the size range, centering the rider between the wheels and preventing the feeling of pitching forward on steep drops.
To maintain climbing efficiency, the seat tube angle was steepened to 73.5 degrees. This shifts the rider's weight forward into a powerful, aggressive pedaling posture that excels on sustained ascents. The chainstays remain short, preserving the quick cornering response expected from a race hardtail. The cockpit pairs a wide handlebar with size-specific stems, balancing the longer reach to keep steering inputs direct.
