The 2027 Orbea Rallon RS is a long-travel carbon enduro platform that pairs gravity-focused chassis design with a subtle-assist electric powertrain. Built around a 180mm fork and 170mm of rear travel, the bike utilizes a lightweight TQ HPR40 motor and a 290Wh internal battery to provide natural-feeling support rather than overwhelming torque.
What sets this generation apart is its highly integrated electronic ecosystem. Orbea utilizes a centralized wired architecture to link the motor, drivetrain, dropper post, and suspension into a single network powered by the main battery. This setup is aimed at aggressive trail and enduro riders who want the handling characteristics and low weight of a traditional mountain bike, but with sophisticated automation that manages suspension states and motor output based on real-time riding data.

| Stack | 650.27mm |
| Reach | 473.83mm |
| Top tube | 601.62mm |
| Headtube length | 120mm |
| Standover height | 757.79mm |
| Seat tube length | 410mm |
The Rallon RS geometry is heavily gravity-oriented, mirroring the aggressive posture of its non-motorized counterpart. A slack 64.25-degree head angle and generous reach measurements—stretching to 478mm on a size large—prioritize high-speed stability and control on steep descents.
A defining element of the frame is Orbea’s Steep and Deep design, which provides an uninterrupted seat tube to maximize dropper post insertion. Smaller frames accommodate 210mm posts, while large and extra-large sizes can fit massive 240mm droppers, allowing riders to get the saddle completely out of the way for maximum maneuverability.
The chassis also offers extensive adjustability to suit different terrain and riding styles. Riders can alter the bottom bracket height and head tube angle via a flip chip, and further slacken the front end using adjustable headset cups. Additionally, the frame accommodates either dual 29-inch or mixed-wheel setups through dedicated suspension linkages, ensuring the geometry remains consistent regardless of the chosen rear wheel size.

The Rallon RS lineup is split into two main specification tiers—LTD and Team—each available in either a full 29-inch or mixed-wheel configuration. All four builds share the same OMR carbon frame, TQ HPR40 motor, 290Wh battery, and Orbea’s MC10 electronic dropper post.
The flagship LTD models showcase the platform's full electronic integration. These builds feature a Shimano XTR Di2 drivetrain, carbon Oquo wheels, and a Fox Float X2 Live Valve Neo Factory shock. This automated rear shock communicates directly with the motor and dropper post to adjust damping in real time based on rider input and saddle position.
The Team models offer a more traditional suspension approach at a lower price point. While they retain the electronic shifting via a Shimano XT Di2 drivetrain and the smart dropper post, they swap the automated Live Valve system for a standard Fox Float X2 Factory shock. The Team builds also utilize alloy Oquo wheels instead of carbon. This tier suits riders who prefer manual suspension tuning while still benefiting from the centralized battery and clean cockpit of the RS ecosystem.
Early impressions of the Rallon RS center on how seamlessly its electronic systems fade into the background on the trail. Rather than feeling like a complex digital machine, testers note that the subtle TQ motor and quiet operation make it feel like "the best climbing day of your life" (E-bikeshop). The motor's specific tune is frequently praised for its predictability, particularly in technical terrain where it avoids unwanted surges when riders ratchet the pedals through tight uphill corners.
The most significant on-trail advantage comes from the automated suspension found on the upper-tier builds. Reviewers highlight the immediate transition between climbing and descending states, triggered simply by lowering the electronic dropper post. When the saddle drops, the suspension instantly opens and the chassis "hunkers down, ready for war" (E-bikeshop).
This automation drastically reduces the rider's mental load, eliminating the need to toggle lockout levers during undulating terrain. By allowing the pilot to focus entirely on line choice and grip, the integrated system creates a ride that feels "planted, precise, and frighteningly fast" (E-bikeshop) on aggressive descents.
