The current Scott Addict marks a clear repositioning of the nameplate away from its older do-it-all road identity and into a dedicated endurance role alongside the racier Addict RC. Launched as a 2026 model, it is built around a comfort-first brief without abandoning the stiffness and precision expected from a premium carbon road platform. Scott claims roughly 50% more frame compliance than the previous Addict and about 25% more than the Addict RC, achieved through reshaped tubing, a slimmer top tube, a more flexible seat tube area below the seatstay junction, and dropped seatstays. The platform is offered in HMX and HMF carbon layups, with stiffness targets around the head tube and bottom bracket deliberately preserved.
What makes this generation distinctive is how far it pushes into modern all-road territory without becoming a gravel bike. Tire clearance grows to 38mm, complete bikes are commonly set up around 34mm rubber, and the fit shifts slightly taller and shorter than before for a more sustainable riding position. Scott also adds practical features that are still uncommon on road bikes in this category, including integrated downtube storage for its "Save-The-Day" kit concept and a built-in cockpit tool on complete bikes. In the market, the Addict sits as a high-end endurance road bike for riders who value long-distance comfort, rough-road capability, and day-to-day usability more than outright race-bike sharpness.

| Stack | 557mm |
| Reach | 382mm |
| Top tube | 536mm |
| Headtube length | 139mm |
| Standover height | 780mm |
| Seat tube length | 475mm |
The Addict's geometry is decisively endurance-oriented, but not extreme. In size M it combines a 578mm stack with a 386mm reach, and Scott states the new bike is 5mm taller and 5mm shorter than the previous Addict in equivalent sizing. That creates a more upright position with less weight on the hands and lower back, while still keeping the cockpit compact enough to feel engaged rather than cruiser-like. Seat tube angles steepen on smaller sizes, from 75 degrees on XXS/XS to 73 degrees on XXL, helping preserve rider position across the size range.
Handling numbers reinforce the bike's stability-first character. Chainstays are a consistent 418mm across all sizes, and the wheelbase is long for a road bike at 1009mm in M, stretching from 984mm in XXS to 1036mm in XXL. Head tube angles are also moderate rather than aggressive, from 71.3 degrees in XXS to 73 degrees in XL/XXL, which should calm the steering and improve confidence on descents and rough surfaces. Combined with a BB drop of 72-74mm, the bike should feel planted and predictable through fast corners, while the relatively modest reach figures keep fit approachable for riders prioritizing comfort and all-day control over an aero, race-forward posture.

The Addict range spans from the 50 at $2,799.99 to the Premium at $7,699.99, with the 40 at $3,399.99, the 20 at $5,499.99, and the 10 at $6,699.99. That gives Scott a broad spread in the endurance category, from relatively accessible carbon builds to flagship territory. Review coverage repeatedly points to the frame as the constant value proposition: even lower-tier models retain the same core geometry, tire clearance, and integrated storage concept as the more expensive bikes.
Among the builds specifically discussed in reviews, the Addict 10 stands out as a key upper-midrange option, pairing SRAM Force AXS with Fulcrum Wind 42 carbon wheels at a price reviewers considered competitive for a premium-brand endurance bike. Velora Cycling singled out the Addict 30 as a sweet spot in some markets thanks to its 105 Di2 and carbon-wheel package, while also noting that some mid-range builds may actually offer a more modern wheel setup than the pricier Addict 10. Reviewers also noted practical differences in ownership: the full "Save-The-Day" kit is standard only on the top two models, and mid-range builds with separate bar-and-stem setups are easier to adjust for fit than a fully integrated carbon cockpit. Across the range, the recurring caveat is that stock tires and some wheel choices prioritize comfort and stability over snappy acceleration.

Reviewers are broadly aligned that the 2026 Addict is no longer a softened race bike but a true endurance platform. Across first rides and longer tests, the defining impression is what several outlets describe as "mechanical calm": the bike is notably more forgiving than previous Addicts, especially at the rear, and feels composed on broken tarmac, farm lanes, and light gravel. Cyclist Magazine highlighted the substantial rear-end flex from the D-shaped seatpost and compliant frame design, while Velora Cycling praised the bike's ability to roll through cracks and potholes without twitchy feedback. High-speed descending confidence is another repeated theme, with testers reporting that the longer, more upright chassis feels stable and predictable even above 70kph.
The main trade-off is that the Addict does not behave like a race bike when the pace turns sharp and explosive. Velora Cycling said it "does not want to sprint," and Cyclonline similarly described its responsiveness as practical rather than explosive. Several reviewers tied that feeling not only to the endurance geometry but also to the stock wheel-and-tire package, especially heavier 34mm tires and, on some models, Fulcrum Wind 42 wheels that add a flywheel effect. A few testers also noted that the rear end can feel so muted that traditionalists may interpret it as softness or reduced road feedback, with Cyclist Magazine comparing the sensation at times to slightly low tire pressure. Even so, the consensus is that Scott has judged the brief well: the bike is efficient, precise enough under power, and exceptionally good at maintaining speed and rider freshness over long distances.
