Drift Shoes — the new outfit from the design team formerly behind DZR Shoes, the early pioneer of the clipless sneaker — is back from a hiatus with a single debut product: the $240 ARC. It is a low-top, full-grain leather, fully waterproof, lace-up clipless MTB shoe with 2-bolt cleat compatibility, and it is the only product Drift is launching for now.
The ARC leans hard on the casual, skate-shoe silhouette that DZR helped define more than a decade ago, but the on-bike componentry is genuine: a composite shank for power transfer, a reinforced toe box, SPD/2-bolt cleat compatibility that works with everything from Shimano to Crankbrothers, and a rubber outsole that Drift says is tuned to balance pedal grip with off-bike walkability. Drift co-founder and CEO Shane Rattazzi pitched the brand's return as a deliberate move toward small-batch, intentional product introductions rather than seasonal SKU floods, and the ARC is meant to anchor that reboot.BikeMagBikeRumorPinkBike

Two design choices are worth flagging. The first is leather: Drift went with full-grain leather over the synthetic uppers most rivals use, citing durability and the way leather molds to the foot over time. The second is the low-top construction paired with the waterproof lining. Pinkbike pointed out that fully waterproof shoes are usually mid- or high-top because low edges leave more room for water to splash up into the shoe or drip in off a pant leg, so how the ARC fares in genuinely soggy rides is the open question. Drift says the shoe was developed and tested in British Columbia, which at least argues the brand has tried it in real weather.PinkBikeBikeMagBikeRumor

The ARC is unisex and runs in US men's sizes 5–12 (women's 6–13) across five muted colorways: Cedar (tan), Forge (multi-color), Stone (two-tone light grey), Charcoal, and Black/White. Price is $240 across all variants. It is available exclusively through drift-sports.com.BikeMagBikeRumorPinkBike
