By moving the rear shock under the top tube, Giant centralized the bike's packaging and opened up the front triangle to accommodate two water bottles—a crucial update for marathon racers.

Fit and geometry
The Anthem’s geometry places the rider in an aggressive, forward-biased posture tailored for power delivery, driven by a steep seat tube angle and a moderate reach. However, the increased suspension travel raises the stack height slightly compared to older models, and a generous bottom bracket drop creates a distinct sensation of sitting inside the bike rather than perched on top of it.
